State Level Painting Competition conducted by the Ministry of Water Conservation.

It was a proud movement for Prakashites when B.Swetha of VII Class and P. Ramya of VI Class through their outstanding performance bagged the State 1st and State 2nd Prize in the 6th State level painting competition 2015-16 conducted by the Ministry of Water Resources, River development & Ganga Rejuvenation Govt. of India held at Hyderabad on 19th January 2016.

They proved themselves when they were selected for the state level competition at Hyderabad with 2 ,90,000 entries. After scrutiny in the 1st round 50 paintings were selected for the state level. They literally proved their individuality and won the state 1st and 2nd Prizes for their talent and awareness displayed on the theme “save underground water and river from pollution”. It is really their brain child effort which made them stand as winners which is simply over whelming for them as well as the Prakashites. They will be participating at the National level painting competition to be held at Delhi in the month of February.

The Chief Guest Sri R.P. Sisodia , I.A.S, (Secretary to Government, Education (SE) Department. Govt. of A.P. rewarded them with a cash prize of 5,000 and 3,000 respectively along with certificates and said that people should enhance such competitions at School Level itself so that every one will be at par for encouraging their students in Art and Culture. Dr. K. Venu Gopal, Director, Ground Water Department Govt. of A.P. and Sri A.D. Rao Regional Director Central Ground Water Board Southern Region,. Hyderabad were also present on the occasion.
