79th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and Inspiring Message to Youth
Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan marked the 79th Independence Day of India with great pride, enthusiasm, and a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of freedom under the theme “Honouring Freedom, Inspiring the Future.”
The celebration began with the ceremonial flag hoisting, held in the esteemed presence of Mrs. JayashreeHatangadi, Heritage narrator and Tribal Community facilitator and Mr. Sohan Hatangadi, environmentalist, writer, and noted public intellectual, (both INTACH life members).
The Guard of Honour presented by students from four houses set a dignified tone for the event. Addressing the gathering, the speakers paid tributes to many freedom fighters and emphasized that today’s students should all work for the country and should not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for it and that Independence Day is about recognizing the hard work of the freedom fighters and fulfilling their aspirations. They reiterated that holistic development of children should be emphasized instead of focusing only on academics and values should be instilled in children to make them better citizens of tomorrow.
The day also marked the Investiture Ceremony, where newly elected student leaders took charge with a pledge to uphold the values of responsibility and service. The event featured inspirational speeches in Hindi and Telugu, pyramid displays by seniors, showcasing discipline and teamwork. A vibrant line up of cultural performances, including patriotic songs and energetic dance sequences captured the audience’s attention and reflected the deep-rooted love for the nation among the students.
Prizes and certificates were awarded by the guests to students who excelled in various competitions held in conjunction with Independence Day celebrations.
Concluding the event, Sri Chitturi Vasu Prakash, Director of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, extended his warm wishes to all students and staff, encouraging them to carry forward the legacy of freedom with responsibility and vision.
