Our Director

Founded in 2001 by the Director, Sri Chitturi Vasu Prakash, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan is counted among the best CBSE residential schools in Visakhapatnam today. With 3 branches in the ‘City of Destiny’, it started with just 212 students, and is now consistently fulfilling the academic needs of more than three thousand children each year.

This premium educational institution, which is like a second home to its students, was established with a vision to ‘Nurture Joyful Learning for Holistic growth’.

These residential schools in Visakhapatnam follow 2 types of curriculum across their campuses: the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE).

While most schools focus on enhancing only the academic acumen of students, our educators at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan are dedicated to the all-rounded development of every child. We believe that learning should be a joyful and enriching experience, so that it is a lifelong pursuit, even after students have left the school for higher studies. Even as adults, we never stop learning, so why should it not be engaging and fun?

After all – “Great men were children one day, and children can be great men someday”.

To nurture their natural gifts, we have set up several clubs promoting diverse activities, giving students an opportunity to learn, participate and grow. These include the Innovation Club (Atal Tinkering Lab), Arts Club, Mathematics Club, Science Club, Photography Club, Speakers Forum, Dramatics Club and Champs Club.

We have regular interactions with eminent personalities from all walks of life who ignite a spark of inspiration in our children. We encourage children to participate in National and International competitions, and create a platform to showcase their talents. We also organize Overseas study tours and International Education Exchange programs.

Being residential school campuses, we understand our constant role and responsibility in shaping these leaders of tomorrow. Our school is privileged to have teachers who support them as parents, mentors, friends and guides throughout their school years.
